We’ve made lots of new updates to our platform over the past year that we’d love to fill you in on.

Read on to discover what’s new and how these updates will streamline your class list creation process and support better student outcomes.

New Look Dashboard

We’ve redesigned our dashboard for usability and impact. As soon as administrators log in, they’re greeted by a streamlined workflow bar at the top of the screen, which helps to guide them clearly through each stage of the process. The roadmap ensures clarity about the current progress and will be a helpful tool for teams returning year-on-year.

Lock Feature

New for the 2026 class placement season is the lock students feature. This tool enables admins to lock students in a particular class to avoid accidental changes when making manual edits to class lists.

Automatic Survey Data Validation and Enhanced Admin Oversight

Class Creator now validates survey data in real time, giving administrators live status updates for every class. This improved visibility makes it easier to track progress, follow up with teachers who are behind, and quickly address any class issues to keep the process running smoothly.

Student Summary Page

Our student summary is a dynamic tool that displays colour-coded data icons for each student. These provide a quick visual of key attributes relating to a student: behavior, academics, special education needs and ESL/EAL support. This feature update helps educators make informed placement decisions at a glance and identifies any outstanding teacher surveys.

Auto-reminder Emails

The’ Survey Options’ feature within the ‘Configure Surveys’ tool now allows administrators to set up reminder emails to go out to teachers who are slow to fill-in their surveys and adjust the frequency of these reminders as required.

Teacher Notes Template

The Teacher Notes function allows teachers to add notes about students during a survey. If schools prefer that teachers don’t include these notes, admins can disable the option in the survey settings.

New Auto Archive Process

Class Creator automatically archives the current year’s student data before the next class creation process begins. Schools can benefit from automated rollover of their data, unless they’ve specifically opted out.
